Taking Advantage

     Fit Chick Britt Healthy Living Tip: Always take advantage of a beautiful day.

If it’s nice outside, take advantage. Whether it is for 10 minutes, 30 minutes, or an hour, Get Active! Go for a walk, a run, a hike, get on your bike, or throw your roller skates on.

Spending time outside is downright good for you. It exposes you to vitamin D from the sunlight (healthy doses boosts your immunity and fights depression). Being outside promotes exercise and healthy living, and it just makes you feel good. You’ll never regret the decision to drop the paperwork, or the household chores to spend a few minutes breathing in the fresh air, and basking in the sunlight.

It was a beautiful day here in Spring, TX. I went for a 5 miles rollerblade session. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen my roller blades; it was such a great workout for the back of the legs and the glutes (gotta get ready for the upcoming swimsuit season), not to mention fun and freeing! I felt like a little kid again.

Fit Chick Britt Eats for the Day:

Breakfast: Light Vanilla Yogurt, Dash of Honey, ½ cup honey nut cheerios


Lunch: Turkey Sandwich with Whole wheat bread, turkey, and guacamole. Served with an orange.


Fit Chick Britt Eat Well Tip: If you’re watching your weight, try to avoid creamy dressings like mayonnaise and ranch. Instead opt for a tablespoon of mustard, guacamole/avocado, or honey mustard.


For Dinner Hubby and I went to Chilis. I had a bowl of Enchilada Soup (not my picture).
